The new 2007 Univega Bikes we are going to be stocking this year are on the site ready for pre-order, actually a couple may be in stock, and we are dead excited! These are immensely popular bikes over on the Continent (one of the largest bike manufacturers in Europe) and exclusively available in the UK from wiggle. Born in the USA and now based over in Germany they offer that bit of US class along with… well, let me quote them;

“For a bike to earn the name Univega it must pass stringent tests. No wonder, because the name itself is synonymous with uncompromising expectations of quality. From development through design to production – every single stage in the process is dominated by our quest for perfection. Thus, whilst we can look back on years of experience in research and development, we are nevertheless constantly and tirelessly striving to produce innovative and future-oriented solutions.
All Univega bikes are manufactured to the highest quality standards in our factories in Europe and Asia. They are fitted with state of the art equipment so that we can be sure of attaining the best possible results.”

You’ve got to love the Germans! We’ve got five hardtails, five city bikes and even a road bike with prices starting at just £219.99 AND they all come with 10% worth of free accessories! Serious bargain for what you’re getting. See the full range here.

Home assembly bikes with free P&P and other rumours…

Friday, October 20th, 2006

So another week flys by and we’re almost in to November… the nights are drawing in and the dark mornings have started… This has to be the quickest year ever, it doesn’t seem long ago I overdosed on Easter eggs!

Anyway, we have a couple of new things wiggle based to talk about I thought I’d stick on here so that if it got read, the word could be spread!

You can now get FREE DELIVERY ON BIKES!

Our new Home Assembly bike package means the bike is safety checked and adjusted by our CyTech accredited mechanics before despatch. When it arrives, all you need to do is attach the front wheel and pedals, put the seat post in and fit the bars. Full instructions will be included and we’ll even give you the tools needed as well.

We’ll also let you spend 10% of the value of that bike on any products on our site, just simply add them to your basket with it and we’ll do the rest! We think It’s a great deal and we are sure you will too. So if you’re planning on buying a bike anytime soon you’d be mad to go anywhere else! Read More here.

Focus bikes will continue to be shipped Ready2Ride.

More 2007 Focus’s will be with us next week meaning the range is slowly coming together. We’re now holding: Black Hills, Medusa’s, Fat Boys and Zonukwa’s… As far as I know next week we’ll take delivery of the Variado, Variado Expert and Mares Cross. I think some Raven’s will be with us end November.

The 2007 Cayos’ have unfortunately been delayed by Europe… Our friends in Brussels decided that they would bring in some new legislation about the strength and testing of carbon forks. This meant going back to the drawing board for the Focus engineers and them having to completely redesign the forks that were going on the Cayo’s. In typical German style they were happy about increasing the strength but of course they didn’t want to increase the weight at all, this is what took them the time. The new forks have been passed and now they are just waiting for production. So sorry to anyone out there who was waiting for their Cayo and now has to wait a bit longer, it will be worth the wait!

Rumour has it there is going to be a new initiative coming soon from us. Our success has been driven mainly by you, without the word of mouth and good recommendations passed on by our customers wiggle wouldn’t be what it is today. We’ve been putting together a scheme that rewards you for your hard work in spreading the word of wiggle, no more info apart from the fact there is free gifts and free money involved! Keep your eye on the site and your inbox for more info in the coming weeks.
