Focus will be at NPS Demo Days!

Wednesday, February 7th, 2007

You may have read or been told that Focus bikes will be available to test ride at the Future Publishing NPS Demo Days.

After racking up some 15 top scoring reviews across the range in 2006 and with another 4 MTB’s out on test at the moment plus all the talk on the forums, Focus will be taking 8 bikes from the MTB range to all 5 venues.

Bikes available will be the Dirt Decision 129, Black Forest, Black Raider, Raven, Raven Expert and the ladies Zonukwa.

Also available for test ride will be the hotly anticipated First and First Expert, the only full sus Focus’s available in the UK. These bikes have won award after award in their native germany and, in fact, right across Europe due to their unique suspension unit positioning, incredible spec and outstanding performance topped off by the immense value you get from us importing them direct!

These demo days will be the only chance you will get to try out the Focus’s in the flesh this year and really see if you agree with the chaps from the mags that they are truly superb!

The dates are:

Demo 1: March 4, Bedgebury, Sussex
Demo 2: March 25, Coed Llandegla, Snowdonia, Wales
Demo 3: April 8, Thetford Forest, Suffolk
Demo 4: April 29, Newnham Park, Plymouth
Demo 5: May 13, Sherwood Pines, Nottingham

Two more cracking Focus reviews

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

Two of the 2007 carbon Focus’s, the ”Cayo” and ”Cayo Expert” have just received cracking reviews from www.roadcyclinguk.com and 220 Triathlon Magainze respectively.

David Arthur of RCUK.com had the Cayo for quite a while, he absolutely loved it and just reiterated the rave review the 06′ got in Cycling weekly last year, giving it 10/10 for performance and value:

“The Focus Cayo; a £999 carbon-framed, Ultegra equipped belter of a bargain”

“After a fair amount of riding the Cayo, we’ve struggled to find anything really wrong with it. Don’t let the price tag convince you this is a bike aimed at beginners, while it’s perfect for those new to road riding, those with a few more miles under their bums should take a serious look at the Cayo. Remove the price tag and you’d be convinced you’re looking at a bike with a price far nearer that of £2000. And to discover the bike actually rides well, offers no surprises and has decent kit, it’s hard not to give the bike top honours. A real bargain.”

I’m not sure who actually tested the Cayo Expert at 220 but up against the Specialized Tarmac Comp it seemed to go down a storm:

“German-brand Focus certainly doesn’t have Specialized’s high profile, but when it comes to delivering a high-value, high performance ride, it’s more than a mid priced match for it’s well-known contemporary”

“In contrast (to the Specialized Tarmac Comp), the Focus is totally rock solid in a consistently reassuring and rapid way. There’s loads of precise feedback for laser-accurate cornering and road placement”

“The lightweight overall build and great power-transfer characteristics also mean it kicks up to speed with real vigour as soon as you feel like adding some velocity”

The brand continues to go from strength to strength here in the UK purely based on the class of the product, something we’re rather proud of!
