Mountain Mayhem: Post event update.
Original Source Mountain Mayhem was truly a very intense weekend for the Wiggle lads. Where do I begin… Phew. Right first things first huge thank you to Patrick and all at pro velo support for organising a top notch event. The Focus tent was superb and was open all weekend to show off the 2009 range of Focus mountain bikes like the Black Forest, Raven, Super Bud and First. We even had a small array of Focus road bikes like the Cayo Team Replica and Culebro. And for those cyclocross fans, a Focus Mares to top it off.
The Focus demo bikes were a huge success and there were so many happy faces at the end of each ride some even coming back to ask if they could take the bike out for longer!
But to top off the weekend was to have Matt Page Sponsored Wiggle MTBer WIN the 24hr event in the solo category, 26 laps of a 9 mile course in 24 hours. If you worked out the total amount of climbing achieved during the race, Matt would of climbed Mount Everest and some!
It was a truly amazing weekend and not only did Matt’s dream come true of winning the event, Matt Proposed to his fiancee Nia upon crossing the finishing line in a very emotional moment shared by everybody at the event. This is a huge win for Focus Bikes and Wiggle. I know I can safely say on behalf of myself the support crew (Rob, Del, Ben & Doug) it was a pleasure to support you. Huge Congratulations on your success and your engagement.
