Andrea Whitcombe Profile
Biography:
Before taking up triathlon in 2001 I was an international runner competing in six World Cross-country championships, winning a silver medal in the 1998 Commonwealth Games and running in the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the 5000m.
I have finished in the top 8 in 3 World Triathlon Championships, had 4 podium placings in World Cups and have finished 4th in 3 European Championships.
I am a big animal lover, especially of tortoises which I have as pets. I enjoy solving crosswords, sudoku and any word games. My favourite tv shows are Columbo, CSI and any DIY programmes which help pass the time when on the turbo trainer.
