Mike Hutchison Blog Update(post 4)

Hi Guys,

Firstly my apologies for this latest Blog being slightly late, it has been tough at work working out in that couple weeks of hot weather. I have been getting home exhausted and very red faced, not very flattering though a nice tan is progressing through the redness. The good news is I have managed to loose another 3lbs in weight, this now puts me at 19stone and 7pounds. If I manage to loose another 2 pounds this week will have meant I haqve lost my first stone in weight, 1 more to go for my target weight loss, woohoo!!

With it being so tiring at work I had not really managed to get out for any serious biking, it has just been local runs for about three miles or so. Though this weekend I managed to get out for a little spin down and around Bognor Regis. We have a couple friends down there so spent the bank holiday with them. I will not mention that our friend Hannah managed to lock us out the house which meant a late night and a locksmith!

I had a little spin down by the seaside and along a nature reserve, if I remember rightly the nature reserve was called Oak Wood. Lovely place and it was certainly good to get away from it all. I only took my wide angle camera lens and macro with me just for a little play around, so as usual I have added a few of these for you to have a look at.

Regards,

Mike Hutchison

For Mike Hutchison

(post 2)Blog Number 2.

Hi guys,

Well a little later than expected but here is an update of what I have been up to and how things are going with my charity weight loss, it is good news though.

It was very up and down to begin with untill I got to grips with weight watchers and my cycling regime.
I managed to squeeze a week in Scotland in my home town of Annan, which is on the west coast in Dumfriesshire. A lovely village on the banks of the river Annan funnily and on the Solway coast.

My journey started from Cheam to Sutton, then onto Saint Pancras. Then a quick 2 minute cycle to Euston, just me and my Killer Belly bike. The journey there was not to bad thankfully.
Anyway I finally got onto my Virgin train to Carlisle, this is where a funny thing happened. I got the bike onto the guards van and the guard kept asking me if it had been booked on. She must have asked me five times, even though no other bikes were even on the train.
She finally asked me where I was going, so I replied Carlisle. She then told me I was on the wrong train as this was the Wolverhampton train. I thought oh no, as I would never have time to get to the Carlisle train. Then all of a sudden another guard turned up, she was on the wrong train and her train had already left!
Once there though I had an excellent week cycling up and down the river and along the Solway coast. The weather was mixed but generally good, even had a flurry of snow now and again. You can see in the photographs the snow on the hills in the distance.

Introducing Mike Hutchison

(post 1)Introducing Mike Hutchison

We are very pleased to present our newest ‘athlete’ to the bloggle, Mike Hutchison.
Mike approached us with an idea with a weekly weight loss entry and well, we said yes.
Welcome to the Bloggle Mike.

Hi Guys,

Who is this new athlete added to the athletes pages I hear you say, how did he sneak over the fence to get a Blog in the athletes diaries, I ask that myself at times. Did you not know there was an Olympic sport of Sumo Mountain biking, if you have not then your well behind the times and totally un-trendy. Talking of being un-trendy I was a bit concerned by what the guys in the wiggle workshop were listening to music wise the other day!

Seriously though, this has been brought about via discussions with Rob at Wiggle and an idea I put to him and I am glad to say is now happening.
