Biography:
Born July 12th 1987 in Montrose, Scotland, Nicholls now lives and trains in Swansea.
Training under Chris Jones, Ritchie has made considerable improvements in his swimming, his weakest discipline.
There is no ‘quick fix’ solution. His continued dedication to improving will be essential to bring his swim performance up to the level of his bik-ing and his formidable running.

2007: European Under 23 Champion 4th World Under 23 Championship 2nd Nokia Royal Windsor Triathlon
2006: 1st Salford Junior European Cup
2005: 2nd ITU World Junior Duathlon Championship
Winning the European U23 Championships was a Team GB effort. Down by just over a minute after the swim, Ritchie was helped by his two team mates to ride up to the lead group. He took control of the race on the run and won by ten seconds.
